Suzuki dealership Powerslide Motorcycles will make its North West 200 debut in 2022, with James Ellison leading the charge.
Ellison, who manages the team's British Superbike team, has enjoyed success in BSB, AMA (now MotoAmerica), EWC, and World Supersport. An entry into the North West 200 had been planned for a while, but the Covid-19 pandemic and event cancellations meant a delay to his road racing debut. However, the 41-year-old will get his chance this May.
He will be joined under the awning by Powerslide Motorcycles dealer principal Brad Clarke. Clarke boasts a wealth of National Superstock experience, and while Ellison may grab the headlines, Clarke will be looking to give a good account of himself on a superstock-spec GSX-R1000.

Ellison said, "I've been watching onboards every morning: Station corner looks really daunting and I think it'll blow my mind. The rest of the circuit looks really fun, too, and I can't wait to get there and get started."
Clarke added, "I want to be competitive and I want come and do a professional job, and go home safe. Of course, most of the expectation will be on James, but I'm really looking forward to this new challenge."
