Maidstone-based Suzuki dealership Laguna Motorcycles celebrated this year’s International Women’s Day with a ride-out designed to empower and encourage female motorcyclists in the community to come together.
Taking place on Saturday 5 March - and despite the less than pleasant weather conditions - the ride-out saw Laguna Motorcycles staff and customers head out into the countryside for an hour-long ride, before arriving at the firm’s sister dealership in Aylesford.
And to ensure the event was as welcoming as possible, the selected route was 125cc and scooter-friendly, meaning new riders could also attend and enjoy the ride.
For those that braved the conditions refreshments were provided after the ride, plus a free goody bag. The dealership also showcased its extensive range of clothing and accessories, with any order placed on the day, over £50, benefiting from free home delivery, meaning no need for riders to worry about getting their purchases home.
Emma Daley, Laguna Motorcycles marketing manager said, "Despite the cold and the wet, we had a great turn out for the event with lots of ladies arriving to brave the weather. Everyone had a great time and all were keen to take part in future ride outs, so we hope to plan more later this year."

“I joined this ride on my 125 scooter but I’ve got my eye on a Suzuki SV650, so hopefully I’ll be on that next year, and I hope that fellow women motorcyclists see the extent of the female riding community that exists."
