LEARNINGS FOR WOODCOCK AND SR75 SUZUKI FROM SX TOUR ROUND 2

Back to news

SR75 Suzuki and Dylan Woodcock experienced another great but challenging night at SX Tour Round 2 – Supercross St Georges de Montaigu last weekend.

In qualifying, there was less than a second covering all the riders from 2nd to 11th place, with Dylan posting a solid lap time to be in with a chance come the semi-final.

In the semi-final, Woodcock collided with another rider right out of the gate, leaving him in last place, but he pushed hard and made some amazing passes throughout the race to cut through the field, eventually finishing in an impressive 5th place.

In the final, there was a chaotic first turn that put Dylan on the back foot. Once again Dylan showed fantastic resilience, coming through the pack right up to 7th place. He was closing the gap on the riders in front and pushing for a top 5 finish. Ultimately though, Dylan started to struggle with a little fatigue during the last two laps and an unfortunate collision with another rider on the last lap dropped Dylan down to final position just outside the top 10.

As this was only Dylan’s second experience at the highly-competitive French SX Tour, he is learning all the time and took lots of positives from the event. Dylan is still getting used to main events starting around midnight and both he and the team are working towards race wins.

Dylan Woodcock #275 commented, “Last weekend wasn’t my best, I won’t lie. I was riding well but I just struggled in the main and made some silly mistakes, but we know what we need to work on moving forward and I am 100% working on the things that can be better, for sure. Now I’m back to training and riding before the 3rd round of the SX Tour, where I’m looking to turn it all around.”
